TOENAIL REMOVAL

Dr. Mitchell provides surgical toenail removal. There are many instances in which toenail removal is medically required, and the procedure itself is relatively painless beyond a brief numbing injection. It is performed on nails that have chronic disease, injured in an accident, are painful, severely malformed, ingrown or are significantly cosmetically displeasing.

WART REMOVAL

The type of surgery used to remove warts depends on the wart’s type, location, and size. Cryosurgery is one form of wart removal using freezing by liquid nitrogen. Electrosurgery is burning the wart with an electrical current. The two procedures are often used together. Surgery for warts is usually quick and effective. Generally, doctors start with the surgical method that is least likely to cause scarring.

Dr. Mitchell can give you an idea of the time it will take to heal from this procedure and how effective it can be.

CASTING BROKEN BONES

Fractures are a common hazard of childhood. And although breaking a bone takes only a split-second fall off the jungle gym or a quick collision on the soccer field, the healing process takes a bit longer. In most cases, a child who breaks a bone will require a cast to keep it still while it heals. Dr. Mitchell provides full casting services in his office.

STITCHES

The ability to close a skin wound is an important skill learned by medical care providers. How and when to repair the damage needs to be individualized for each patient and situation. Dr. Mitchell specializes in both wound closure as well as removal of stitches.

VASECTOMY

Vasectomy is a surgical method of male sterilization, and is considered the safest form of surgical sterilization. It is a very short, safe procedure performed by Dr. Mitchell in his office.
